In putting in writing yesterday what we need for Traprock as we move
forward, I realized I even more wanted to recognize the wonderful
contributions of dozens of you - some long time Traprock supporters,
some new - all of you who have brought us to where we are in a very
short time. This doesn't say it all I'm sure. Please let me know what
or who I have missed!!
Thank you so much to the transitional board who stepped in to literally
"save" Traprock and members of the new board who are taking on the
responsibility of good governance of this great organization. To Bob and
Roger who, with much patience and persistence, got our email and
internet working. To Bob for the endless hours keeping our financial
records. To Roger for maintaining our list serve and website. To Abbie
for forging and manifesting our liaison with GCC and to the students of
the Peace and Social Justice Club for their great film series of last
semester. To dependable, supportive volunteers Pam and Sue W. who come
in regularly and lend their expertise and willingness to do what is
needed. To Linda and Marcia for their work with the Greenfield Middle
School preparing for our MLK event and to Linda for turning this evening
into something we'll want to make an annual event. To Sonny for getting
our "Northern Woolies" sign down and preparing for our "Traprock Center"
sign to go up. To the members of Standing Tree for taking on more than
half the rent for our first year. To Ellen for representing us in the
Justice for Jason campaign and her steady support and encouragement. To
Sandra for taking the initiative in our program planning, for her
organizational wisdom. To Loren who has taken on the huge task of
organizing our video library. To Jordy and Elyse for the hours of
volunteer help doing what needs to be done and to Victoria, Niclole,
Jordy, Marcia and Norm for giving their time getting the end of year
letter out. To Pat who is offering her expertise and experience in many
areas and has already given us material for our website. To Merri who
brought plants, poster frames and enthusiasm up from Easthampton to help
make our space beautiful and welcoming. To Morghan for his technical
assistance on film nights. To Wendy for her organizational expertise
and support. To Warren for his showing up just when something needs
doing. To Sherrill for her important presentation on Palestine in the
middle of a snow storm and to Robin who is planning music programs for
the spring. To Suzanne for her support in our Greenfield Common actions
and who with Sandra, Jay, Becca and Beth come to all our programs. To
the Interfaith Council of Franklin County for their generous concert
contribution and for our work together on the Peacemaker Awards. To
Steve our mailman, whose cheerfulness brightens every day he brings the
mail. To our landlord George who is putting effort and resources into
improving our heating situation and who is responsive to our concerns.
To all of you who have contributed financially to Traprock, who come to
our programs, who have donated books and videos and furniture, who have
baked and set up for programs and who give encouragement to our work in
small and large but always meaningful ways.
Sending a huge thank you from me and I'm sure from each of you to each
of you to for all your ongoing interest and personal and organizational
support !!
With much love and appreciation, Liz
